Our History

Standing guard over the crossing of many roads at Mullacott,
the Depot has long been a welcome rest stop for weary travellers, holiday-makers, and locals.

In late April 1949, a Mr. W. T. Knill opened a new enterprise at this location, called the 'Mullacott Cross Filling Station & Cafe,' and over the years it served as a vital stop for those travelling between llfracombe, Lee, and Braunton.

The Filling Station & Cafe has had many names and looks, and has now been in the Good Food & Drink Co. for over twenty years. We are proud to present the Depot, the latest incarnation of this long standing business. So stop for a while, relax, and enjoy our great food & drink!

We Recycle

At the Good Food and Drink Company Depot, we take recycling and the impact on our environment very seriously.

We practice a Reduce - Reuse - Recycle policy across all our businesses and work very closely with local partners and suppliers to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill, resulting in production of harmful greenhouse gasses.

We recycle all paper, plastic, tin, glass, printer cartridges and most importantly all our food waste is placed in an anaerobic digester and the energy produced goes back into the local grid.

Working together with 'Surfers against Sewage' and 'Plastic Free North Devon' to reduce the need for single use plastics in our businesses as well as encouraging our suppliers to do the same, to protect our oceans and environment for future generations.
